HOW DO I GET STARTED WITH MIDWOOD PET SITTING?
First off thank you for you for choosing MPS to care for your furry children while you are away. MPS will dedicate the utmost attention to your pet during each our visits. We are a small business with 3 dedicated employees that have a passion for the happiness of animals. As a registered client, you will always have an emergency contact for Midwood Pet Sitting, although responses for new client inquiries can sometimes require 24-48 hours. For last minute request, please call (704)-449-9742 directly and leave a detailed voicemail or text noting your needs.

If leaving a message, please provide your name, contact phone number, pets name, and the dates/times that you are considering for booking. I will contact you back as soon as possible and schedule a time to come by your home for a free consultation. This usually can take anywhere from 15-30 minutes. Prior to our free meet and greet, Please fill out the “New Client Registration” form at the top of the www.midwoodpetsitting.com homepage. This will cover all of the imperative information needed for the initial consult.
IS THERE A CANCELLATION POLICY?
We understand that things happen and schedules change!If you let us know by 8am the day of the scheduled visit, There will be no charge for cancelling. Same-day cancellations made after 8am incur a $5 charge, and cancellations made within an hour of the scheduled visit start-time will be subject to a full visit fee. If the sitter arrives at your home, a full fee for the visit will be charged.
For overnight visits, If you cancel within 10 days of your overnight start day, there will be no fees. If you cancel within the 10 day window, 25% of the booking total (including mid day walks booked) will be charged.
ARE YOU INSURED and BONDED?
Yes! Not only is your pet covered during our visits, your sitter, your home, and your valuables are as well!
I have up to date Pet Sitter insurance through Pet Sitter Associates (http://www.petsitllc.com/).
This covers pet sitter insurance and well as bonding for my additional employees.
Policy information can be provided at any time.
HOW WILL I KNOW THAT MY PET IS BEING CARED FOR WHILE I AM AWAY?
I will not only notify you prior to your departure out of town, but also will send you text message updates while I am in the home performing your visit. There is a certain trust that one has to have with their pet sitter while they are away, but I want to ensure that you have no doubts that I am caring for your pets. As long as you are able to receive picture text, I will also update with pictures as much as possible. On top of this, You will also be given a daily log sheet that will be filled out after each visit detailing the time that your pet and I spent together. We are open to communication and suggestions here at MPS as well, if there is a preferred method that you find easier to “check in” with, please do not hesitate to request it!
SHOULD I INFORM ANYONE THAT YOU WILL BE PET SITTING FOR ME?
Yes. Please let your emergency contact know that you will have me in your home. Also, if you have someone that is stopping by the home or has a key, please let me know through the “Client Info Packet”. If I arrive at the home and there is an unknown person there, I do not know if they are safe or are supposed to be in your home otherwise.
WHAT DO I DO IF MY PETS HEALTH STATUS CHANGES?
In Power Pet Sitter, you are given the freedom of updating your pets health records just by logging in at the top of the home page under “Client Login”. If anything changes with your pets health or if you notice anything that needs attention, please let me know right away. I will update the chart as well if you prefer just to send an email or text concerning the change. Otherwise, an email will be generated to me automatically of any changes that you make in PPS. I am very comfortable working with sick and hurt animals, please just let me know if there is anything that I can do to make them feel more comfortable during your absence.
PAYMENTS? WHEN IS IT LATE? ANY LATE FEES ASSESSED?
For recurring clients with weekly visits an invoice is issued bi weekly. This invoice is to be paid on the due date listed on the invoice. Clients that go away on vacation or periodically are to leave payment for services in the home or in a conspicuous place on the first visit or arrange payment through Venmo. The client may write a post dated check up to the end of the service date. If the client goes up to 14 days with no payment, I will no longer be able to perform sits for the client. I do not charge late fees. If you have a special circumstance, please let me know, I am very understanding.
Personal checks that are returned by my bank are subject to the fee amount that my bank has charged me for providing a worthless check. This fee can be up to 30$
